The SISD (Sweetwater Independent School District) Board of Trustees met for its regular session meeting on Monday evening, April 18 at the Administration Building.
A variety of presentations were made at the meeting, recognizing individuals, groups and schools for their high honors. A resolution for seven different school entities were read by school board members, and each participant, teacher and principal received a copy.

A resolution was read to the SHS FCCLA (Family, Career & Community Leaders Of America) for participating at state competition. The Sweetwater Police Department (SPD) received 44 calls for service, issued six citations and made two arrests on April 25, 2011.
The SPD received 17, 911 calls.
Calls for service:
â€˘ Criminal mischief â€” 600 block of W. Ave. D.
â€˘ Criminal mischief â€” 1000 block of Hickory.
Arrested by SPD:
â€˘ Male juvenile â€” Disorderly conduct.
â€˘ Gerald McDonell, Jr., 35 â€” Warrants.
The Nolan County Sheriff's Office (NCSO) had nine calls for service, served six civil papers and made one arrest on April 25, 2011.

June Black McMillan, 78, of Colorado City, passed away at her home on April 24, 2011. All arrangements are pending with Kiker-Seale Funeral Home in Colorado City, Texas.
