High Sky Children's Ranch and West Texas Children's Advocacy Center are agencies committed to helping families of the Nolan, Scurry, Fisher and Mitchell County communities to stop child abuse. Five years ago both agencies decided that more needed to be done to assure that the communities become aware that child abuse was a problem. It was found that the general public and some community leaders were unaware that child abuse existed and needed to be reported. HSCR and WTCAC decided to work together to help stop child abuse and involve local community leaders and other agencies.
